Architecture is thought carefully expressed through material.
We believe that architecture needs to be visionary and timeless. From our base in Carlingford, Co. Louth, our practice has been creating homes, restoring heritage structures, and delivering community, commercial and educational projects for nearly three decades. Since 1996, we’ve established a track record of personalised service, strong design, and long-term client relationships — many of our clients value the level of care and attention that goes into every single project.
The scope of our work is broad. We create and design private residences, extensions, and modern renovations that transform people’s lives. We also have expertise in conservation, restoring and sensitively adapting historic properties and protected buildings for modern use. We help businesses, schools, and community organisations realise their vision by providing commercial, educational, and recreational architecture in addition to residential and heritage projects.
Unique
Our unique blend of expansive experience, technical know-how and creative design makes us a little different. Our founder and principal architect, Páraic McKevitt, qualified from TUDublin (DIT Bolton Street) in 1993 and was trained in Brussels under the guidance of Architect Pierre Lallemand and “Art & Build Architects”. He is a Grade 2 Conservation Architect with accreditation in Health & Safety. Páraic has amassed a huge breadth of knowledge that now supports our practice and has served as a tutor at the Ulster University and TUD as well as the Architectural Technology & Design course coordinator at the Drogheda Institute of Further Education. Páraic also adds an artistic element to his work by creating intricate architectural illustrations that perfectly convey the personality of structures and locations.
Sustainable building design is a priority for us at Páraic McKevitt Architects. We work to design architecture that respects and engages with its environment and serves the needs of future generations, whether that means incorporating green technology into a new home, updating an older property to use less energy, or making sure that a heritage structure is preserved with care.
At Páraic McKevitt Architects, we take pride in the breadth and quality of our projects. From bespoke homes and heritage restorations to schools, sports facilities and commercial buildings, our portfolio reflects our commitment to design excellence, sustainability and sensitive responsive architecture.
Each project is unique, responding to its site, context and client brief. We try to ensure that our work demonstrates a balance between creativity and practicality, ensuring that every space is functional, visually engaging and leaves the user with positive and lasting experiences.
