Riverside, Carlingford, Co. Louth

This building is comprised of a 3-bay, 2-storey dwelling together with an adjacent 2-storey Store, which was a house in its own right until the mid 20th century.

The location is that of the “Spout Gate” which allowed access to commonage on the Carlingford Mountains from the medieval walled town. The name derives from a stream at the location.

The house has been surveyed and we are currently finalising design proposals with our client. The brief is to work with the existing house layout so as to provide adequate living and bedroom accommodation together with affording the house good connectivity with its garden.

In this regard the living area is to be located at first floor so as to be level with the garden to the rear.
